Starting without any intro: double-bass player Cremaschi breaks through the sonic boundaries of his analog instrument with free improv and non-idiomatic composition. In response Ostrowski uses a glove-interface and special modeling software in order to mimic the nonlinear responding mode of traditional instruments or to bundle electronic micro-events. KRK’s precise spontaneous compositions unite formal tightness with a violent, controlled energy. With their furious duet-duel, Musique Concrete and virtuosic hightech collide in real time.

From concept boxes to soccer sound: fan-fanfares play an acoustic role in the performance of van Alebeek; after all the recording artist is always on the go with open ears and sound-hungry magnetophones. Dictaphone, Walkman, cassette deck and 4-track-recorder shape the charmingly rushed, noisy sound of his lo-fi field recordings. His collection of analog sounds is an inexhaustible pool, which he stirs up live and silver-tongued into hypnotic, complex collage and spontaneous radio play.

Ecker & van Hek, on the other hand, construct concentrated short sound figures with soundtrack spatiality and ambience. With modified trumpet sounds, improvisation on modular compositions and electronic treatment in real time they proceed versatily in spiral form: they perform with the music created beforehand in order to generate new, input-based material; the music feeds itself. So the evening could thus end after lekker flickering, scratching & vibrating, completely self-referentially and anti-athleticly with a withdrawn brass melody…
