Peter Laurent, a.k.a. d’incise (Geneva, 1983), Sound Entdecker, spielt kein bestimmtes Instrument, verwendet Software, Aufnahmen, Objekte, Percussions, Harmonium, etc… Sein Interesse gilt dem Radikalen, Reduktionismus, Wiederholungen und konzeptuellen Arbeitsweisen. Für neue Projekte baut er oft auch neue Instrumente. Bei mex zeigt er mikrofonierte Metallstäbe.

Swantje Lichtenstein arbeitet mit dem Klang der Sprache und zeigt poetischen Spuren elektroakustischer Amplifikationen von Worten und Sätzen als systematische Musik und transmediale Klangkunst. Sie schafft hypnotisierende Soundscapes und erforscht den Klang der Sprache durch elektronische Improvisation und raumübergreifende Rhythmisierungen.

David Toop (*1949) entwickelte seit 1970 Techniken, um die Grenzen zwischen Klang, Hören, Performance, Musik und Material zu überschreiten. Dazu gehörten improvisierte Musik, Performances, Schreiben, elektronischer Klang, Feldaufnahmen, Ausstellungskonzeptionen, Klangkunstinstallationen und Oper. Derzeit ist er Professor für Audio Culture und Improvisation am London College of Communication.

Peter Laurent, a.k.a. d’incise (Geneva, 1983), sound explorer, has no particular instrument, using whatever can be considered as such, softwares, recordings, objects, percussions, harmonium, etc. He’s interested in radicalism, reductionnism, repetitions and conceptual approaches, building specific set-up for each new occasion. At mex he shows amplified metal rods.

Swantje Lichtenstein works with the sound of language to show the poetic traces of electro-acoustic amplification of words and sentences as systematic music and transmediale sound art. She creates atmospheric and mesmerizing soundscapes and explorations of the sound of language through electronic improvisation and space-transcending rhythmification.

David Toop (born 1949) has been developing a practice that crosses boundaries of sound, listening, music and materials since 1970. This encompasses improvised music, performance, writing, electronic sound, field recording, exhibition curating, sound art installations and opera. He is currently Professor for Audio Culture and Improvisation at the London College of Communication.
