Die Grundlage von Antez‚ „no es“-Klangaktion besteht darin, mit den Sympathien der Resonanzstruktur des Raumes zu spielen, die von seiner architektonischen Einzigartigkeit geprägt ist und deren Erzählweg bis in die Gegenwart durchlässig bleibt. Dies wird durch den Einsatz ausschließlich akustischer Mittel der Klangerzeugung erreicht, die durch die Bewegungen des Körpers erzeugt werden. Diese Klänge haben ungewöhnliche Klangtexturen, sie entziehen sich den traditionellen Perkussionsregistern. Sie testen die Grenzen unserer Wahrnehmung, von Infra bis Ultraschall, indem sie Phasenverschiebungen spielen. Sie fügen sich durch Mikrovibrationen in die Intimität der Materie ein, und wir erhalten eine akustische Sättigung durch Geräuschdichte. Der Fluss dieser evoziert sowohl Zurückhaltung als auch Exzess, Immersion und Zeitlosigkeit.

The basic of Antez’s „no es“ sound action is to play the sympathies of the room’s resonant structure, shaped by its architectural singularity and whose narrative path remains permeable to the present moment. This is achieved by using exclusively acoustic means of sound production generated by the body’s movements. These sounds have unusual sonic textures, they escape traditional percussion registers. They test the limits of our perception, from infra to ultrasonic, by playing phase shifts. They insert themselves into the intimacy of matter, through micro vibration, and we are presented with an audio saturation by noise density. The flow of these evokes both restraint and excess, immersion and timelessness.

Die in Köln lebende Musikerin Elisa Metz veröffentlichte am 02.12.2022 mit „Glass Wands“ ihr erstes Album auf dem Berliner Label Planet Akwa, auf dem sie ihr selbstgebautes Glasinstrument in seiner komplexen Klanglichkeit vorstellt. 2020 entdeckt sie in der Glaserei ihres Onkels in der hessischen Provinz das Material für ihr Instrument „Glass Wands“: Neun unter- schiedlich lange Glasstäbe in verschiedenen Farben – von transluzent bis opak. Mit Hanno Mühlenbach arbeitet sie diese zu einem begehbaren, raumgreifenden Instrument aus. Während die frei schwingenden, bunten Glasstäbe durch das auf sie treffende Licht flirrende Schatten in den Raum werfen, erweckt Elisa Metz deren klangliche Eigenschaften durch diverse Anschlagstechniken mit Hämmern aus unterschiedlichen Materialien. So changieren Elisa Metz transmediale Kompositionen zwischen installativer und performativer Qualität. Konsequent benennt sie die neun Stücke des Albums jeweils nach den Farben der neun Stäbe: Pale Blue, Violet, Rose, Sienna, Yellow, Clear, Red, Green und Blue.

Elisa Metz is a Cologne based artist focusing on transmedia composition, performances and in- stallations, such as the self-built glass instrument Nine Wands (2020).The instrument consists of glass wands the artist discovered at her uncle’s glazier’s workshop. They exist in various colours and patterns, either transparent or opaque. When hit by a mallet, they create bell-like sounds. Their pitch is influenced by their length and density. Impressed by their rich overtones, Elisa Metz decided to build a vo- lumetric, walk-in instrument together with Hanno Mühlenbach, encompassing both, an installative and a performative quality. In May 2020, Elisa Metz presented the instrument for the first time during an audiovisual performance at Robert- Schumamn-Saal at Museum Kunstpalast in Düsseldorf.

Bromp Treb ist das solo noise/music performance und recording project von Los Angeles-based artist Neil Young aka Neil ‘Cloaca’ Young. Seit 2002 hat Promp Treb einige Aufnahmen veröffentlicht und ist in hippen Locations wie dem ICA Boston und dem High Zero Festival aufgetreten, ebenso wie in zahllosen Kellern, Bars, Lofts, Wohnzimmern, Abstellräumen und Kunsthäusern überall in Nordamerika und Europa. ince 2002 Bromp Treb has put many recordings in circulation and has performed at fancy-pants places like ICA Boston and the High Zero Festival as well as countless basements, bars, lofts, living rooms, closets and art spaces all around North America and Europe. Bromp Treb ist Klangmalerei, das Sprudeln veredelter Dysfunktion und eifriger Verunsicherung. Ein improvisierter Irrgarten von schiefen Rhythmen und verworrenen Texturen, dargeboten durch Stimme, Synthesis, Percussion und Körper, vielleicht ein wenig physische Comedy.
