Nun gut, <strong>Lawrence Casserley<\/strong> schickt auch noch andere Sounds durch die PA. Eigenh\u00e4ndig perkussive, vokale oder flautistische Inputs transformiert der Brite dabei mit Humor und eigens f\u00fcr die Live-Improvisation erfundenem Signal Processing Instrument, mit dessen eigenartigen und reichen Modulationsm\u00f6glichkeiten der Programmier-Crack bereits Evan Parker, Merce Cunningham und Stockhausen livehaftig begl\u00fcckt hat.<\/p>\n<p>Seit gut 40 Jahren erforscht <strong>Malcolm Goldstein<\/strong>, Altmeister der Improvisation, mit \u201eSoundings\u201c die Klangm\u00f6glichkeiten der Violine. Mit performativer Gestik und unkonventionell virtuoser Expressivit\u00e4t entlockt er der Geige ein reiches und stets \u00fcberraschendes Spektrum an Kl\u00e4ngen wie Klappern und Kreischen, Hauchen, Wimmern, und auch Melodien. Wie mit seinem Instrument verschmolzen, pr\u00e4sent und doch entr\u00fcckt, realisiert er, was im Moment gestisch-musikalisch anliegt. Der Bogen h\u00fcpft, klopft, gleitet, kratzt und \u2013 schwebt.<\/p>\n<p>Gut, dass da am inoffiziellen Tag der Weltraumfahrt, 3.10., ein junges K\u00f6lner Impro-Duo an einen Lem\u2019schen Antihelden erinnert. Das <strong>PIRX<\/strong>-Raumschiff bewegt sich mit Hilfe von noise, Texturen und drones durch Zeit und fort: Frau W. bereitet elektronisch das vorwiegend analoge Ausgangsmaterial ihres Archivs auf. Sledziecki schafft wiederum mit seiner Gitarre als Klanggenerator und Schlaginstrument die melodi\u00f6se und strukturelle Basis f\u00fcr die teils bizarr atonale, dann wieder e-pop-inspirierte Kollektivimprovisation mit Frau W. \u2013 soundtrackkompatibel.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013\u2013\u2013-<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-2236\" title=\"Casserley \u00a9\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mexappeal.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/09\/mexcasserleyneu_.jpg\" alt=\"Casserley \u00a9\" width=\"299\" height=\"188\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\u2013\u2013\u2013-<\/p>\n<p><em>Too bad, that one cannot drive with a motorcycle into the mex cellar! Well, <strong>Lawrence Casserley<\/strong> is sending other sounds through the pa as well. The Brit transforms by his own hands humorously percussive, vocal or flutal inputs and particularly invented for live-improvisation the Signal Processing instrument, with whose strange and rich possibilities of modulation the programming-buddy has already delighted incarnately Evan Parker, Merce Cunningham and Stockhausen. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Since over 40 years <strong>Malcolm Goldstein<\/strong>, maestro of improvisation, investigates with \u201eSoundings\u201c the possibilities of sound of the violin. With performative gestures and free-spirited virtuosic expressivity he draws from the violin a rich and always surprising spectrum of sounds such as a rattling and screaking, breathing, hums, and also melodies. As merged with his instrument, present and nevertheless carried off, he realises, what is gesturally and musically important at the moment. The bow hops, knocks, slides, scratches and &#8211; floats. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Perfect, that on the unofficial day of astronautic rides (09\/10\/3), a young Cologne impro-duo remindes of a Lem&#8217;ish anti-hero. The spaceship <strong>PIRX<\/strong> moves via noise, textures and drones through time and forth: Frau W. refines electronically the predominantly analog raw material of her archive. Sledziecki creates in turn with his guitar as sound generator and percussion instrument the melodic and structural basis for the partly bizarre atonale, then again e-pop-inspired collective improvisation with Frau W. &#8211; soundtrack-compatible.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-2237\" title=\"Malcolm Goldstein \u00a9 Silvia Otte\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mexappeal.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/09\/goldsteinneu.jpg\" alt=\"Malcolm Goldstein \u00a9 Silvia Otte\" width=\"229\" height=\"246\"\/><\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Veranstaltet von mex \u2013 intermediale und experimentelle Musikprojekte e.V.
